Earlier today we showed you that the Jordan Fly Wade 2 will be available to customize soon on Nike iD like its predecessor. We also ended the story on an update to why Jordan Brand had to make a new logo for Dwyane Wade. Well for what reason you ask? A potential legal dispute of course. Last April, Jordan Brand introduced Wade’s first signature sneaker, the Jordan Fly Wade, with a brand new logo that had a striking resemblance to the “3” in Point 3 Basketball’s own logo. The basketball apparel company, Point 3 Basketball, filed a federal trademark infringement claim on the “3” logo used on Dwyane Wade’s sneakers. Nike Inc. settled the conflict October 4th with Point 3 Basketball and as we all know dropped the old logo with an appropriate replacement. Case Closed.
