Newly opened in Delhi, India is Nike‘s latest retail space.
On Dec. 6 in Delhi, Nike India launched first-of-their-kind exclusive retail spaces for football and cricket in partnership with Planet Sports.
Nike’s House of Football at Planet Sports in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, is a space dedicated to showcasing Nike’s best innovations in the sport. Young athletes can find the best of Nike’s football products for training, competition and lifestyle wear. Access to the best performance innovation began as soon as the store opened, as Nike released the much-awaited GS II football boot as part of the official launch. Nike’s House of Football will bring young athletes in Delhi closer to the sport by offering the same technologies worn by elite athletes across the world.
Indian football legend Bhaichung Bhutia inaugurated the House of Football and presented the first pair of GSII boots to India’s most promising football talent, Uttam Rai, among hundreds of young football athletes and media. The GSII is the lightest boot Nike has ever made and the most environmentally friendly boot available. The boot also features All Conditions Control (ACC), which delivers enhanced ball control in both dry and wet weather conditions.
Speaking at the opening, Nike athlete Bhutia said: “I believe that to be the best, you need to feel like the best, train like the best, and compete with the best. Nike offers best in class innovations at the House of Football, thereby providing young football athletes access to the latest football gear to train and to compete. The House of Football is a fantastic concept by Nike.”
The GSII will be available exclusively at the House of Football.
Nike also inaugurated an exclusive cricket space, the House of Cricket, with Nike athlete and Team India member Parthiv Patel in attendance. This space, also located at Planet Sports, Ambience Mall, will make the best cricket gear available for young cricketers in Delhi to help elevate their game.
“We are extremely delighted to partner with Planet Sports to launch these first-of-their-kind exclusive Football and Cricket spaces,” said Avinash Pant, Marketing Director, Nike India Pvt. Ltd. “We aim to establish the House of Football and House of Cricket as the ultimate destinations for young athletes and fans.”
Nike’s latest training collection will be available at the House of Cricket.
