Things just wouldn’t be right without a little competition; the opposite sex always made for a better challenge anyway. In today’s society, while women are disproportionately represented in various area of sport and the workplace Nike is promoting change as they inspire women to #JustDoIt.
Marking the 25th anniversary of “Just Do It,” Nike is inspiring women across Europe to push boundaries and reach new goals. Today Nike released its new “Just Do It” campaign in Europe. The latest installment of the “Possibilities” series, the film is a celebration of every woman who has tested her limits and embraced her potential to make September her most active month ever.
As viewers are introduced to the film’s heroine, a series of different challenges and scenarios unfold, each pushing her – and those watching – to defy their limits and boundaries. Directed by Adam Berg, the piece features multi-platinum selling pop superstar Jessie J and FC Barcelona’s Gerard Piqué, each of whom embody the Nike “Just Do It” spirit. Jessie J will also be featured in a Nike Training Club challenge that NTC members can use to take their training to the next level.
“Nike challenged me to Just Do It, so I’m doing it,” Jessie J commented. “I’ve been hitting the gym hard already and I hope that in some way I can help inspire more women to take up the challenge.”
Throughout September a series of unique and exciting Nike+ challenges will help women start their #justdoit journey. For example, the first Nike+ European challenge, “Run The Distance,” invites women and their friends to collectively run a marathon in a week, logging every step on Nike+. Also, “NTC Early Bird” challenges women to push their morning routines like never before.
As the most active month ever comes to an end, “Possibilities” inspires women to continue to reach new personal goals and make the extraordinary into the everyday; to get up earlier, work out harder, run faster and go that extra mile, all while using Nike+ Running, Nike Training Club and earning NikeFuel.
The Nike+ digital ecosystem has more than 18 million global members, and all are encouraged to share their activity through the #justdoit hashtag to inspire other women to realize new possibilities.
