The Nike Ja 2 “Scratch” expands on Ja Morant’s Scratch line, which is inspired by his current NBA team, the Memphis Grizzlies. It will be released on May 1, 2025, for $140.

Nike Basketball will debut another “Scratch” iteration of the Ja 2. This particular pair is the “Rapid Teal” iteration. A release will occur at the start of May 2025, and as you can see, the pair is dressed in the Memphis Grizzlies’ classic uniforms. Furthermore, the claw marks, or scratch marks, are a nod to the team.
Not only did the brand drop the Scratch pair earlier in the year, but they released a premium version, known as the “Black Label” Ja 2. This Nike Ja 2 comes dressed in a Rapid Teal, Black, Ale Brown, and University Red color scheme. What’s different about this pair is how the claw marks are used. Instead of cutouts, the marks are overlayed on the panels in Black. In addition, the upper is covered in Rapid Teal, with Red on the Swoosh logos. Ja’s logo adorns the tongues, while the medial side contains a unique graphic. Along with Ale Brown accents, the shoes have a White midsole and a matching rubber outsole.
