The Nike Ja 3 marks Ja Morant’s third signature shoe with Nike Basketball. With the first colorway releasing in July 2025, you can expect additional colorways to be released in 2026. Ja Morant and Nike Basketball will expand on his signature sneaker line in 2025, with the release of the Ja 3. Morant wore his latest silhouette in Game 1 of the Playoffs, when the Grizzlies faced the Thunder on April 20th. The design is unique and different from his previous models.

As Nike puts it, the Ja 3 was engineered to showcase Ja’s bold and energetic design standard. Building on the “Scratch” design used on previous models, it has perforations throughout and mesh on the upper for breathability. In addition, we have a translucent rubber cup sole and a full-length ZoomZ foam layered over ZoomX scrap materials. The traction on the outsole is new, too. It’s inspired by Ja’s signature bulldog crossover, helping when changing directions.

Another unique addition is Ja’s Nike logo, which is a monogram pattern across the upper, resembling thread. A vertical Swoosh starts on the midsole and runs up the side. On the right outsole, we have the quote “A happy Ja is a scary Ja,” while the left reads, “I’m not even worried about proving them wrong.” Other details include his jersey number 12 on the outsole, with 1 centered on the left outsole, and 2 on the right.

Nike Ja 3 Release Date

The Nike Ja 3 will first be released in the “Neon Yellow” colorway on July 22nd, 2025. The “Max Volume” iteration will follow on August 15th.
