As Kevin Durant and the OKC Thunder are preparing for the 2016 NBA Playoff, his signature shoe will receive an upgrade. The Swoosh will initially debut three color schemes of the Nike KD 8 Elite that will start to release in April 2016.
Connecting with designer Leo Chang, the Elite version of the Nike KD 8 features a calf-length compression sock, Zoom Air Cushioning and Flywire technology that is paired with Kevlar® aramid fiber. In addition, non-stretch woven materials are strategically placed allowing for a snug fit while the foam provides protection and comfort.
Quoted From Nike:
“Transitioning from a low to high is a decision we made with confidence based on our ongoing feedback from Durant to always push the limit on innovative design,” says Chang.
“The KD8 Elite is conceptually designed to blur the lines between the shoe, sock and tight; seamlessly transitioning between each so you can’t differentiate where one begins and the other ends.”
