The Nike Kobe 10 Elite ‘Commander’ is named after the commander-in-chief and according to Nike it’s not just because of his game on the court. The collection is inspired by the President’s Honolulu high school colors.
Originally named after a few colors used, black and volt. Shortly after they were labeled ‘Team’ and then days ago one retailer called them ‘Armed Forces’ which is close to the official naming. Nike recently came out and officially dubbed this pair ‘Commander’.
Dressed in a black, metallic silver, blue lagoon and volt color theme. Through the majority of the uppers is black Flyknit while accents of blue and volt are seen bleeding through and landing on the midsole. Following is metallic silver filling in the swoosh. One of the standout features on this pair is the patch on the tongue that reads “Historia Est Magistra Vitae” which translates to “history is life’s teacher”.
