When images first surfaced of the Nike Kobe 9 EM ‘Silk’ some thought this was inspired by Chinese New Years. Then the nickname ‘villain red’ got attached to them due to the color used, but it looks like we are now calling them silk.
Only a small handful of Kobe 9s are releasing before Bryan’t next signature the Kobe 10 drops. We have the Silk which uses villain red as well as floral and other designs on the toe box that wraps to the heel, hints of bright crimson and metallic gold are strategically placed. The next model after the Silk to drop is the WTK 9.
