Nike LeBron 18 Colorways, Release Dates + Pricing

LeBron James and Nike Basketball will soon launch his next signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 18, which will debut during late 2020 and throughout 2021.

We received a first look thanks to LeBron James of the Nike LeBron 18 in Orlando. The shoe’s design finds James in a specific time and place in his career — late into his 17th season, he needs the cushioning set-up to support his unique blend of power and speed.

The LeBron 18 comes with a new cushioning arrangement that features an Air Max unit in the heel is augmented by a full-length Zoom Air Bag. Also, the shoe is visually divided into two “halves” with details connoting speed in the forefoot and muscle in the heel.

Utilizing a mixture of knits, which is from LeBron’s favorite models. It comes with raised dimensions taken from the LeBron 15 Battleknit, high-tenacity yarns from the LeBron 16, and the TPU yarns that compress the exoskeleton of the LeBron 17.

Also new to the LeBron 18 is a translation of Max Air on the upper, replacing the tongue foam with non-pressurized air pockets. It’s a subtle reframing of material use, an experiment in sensation and comfort — and it’s an opportunity to flash pops of color through socks. Whatever the effect, the addition connects to an affinity for Air that’s followed James through his signature shoe history.

It also comes with a refined tradition. The forefoot is divided into quadrants with thin siping, broadening as you move toward the heel for a stricter grid warp, at which point the traction softens. Furthermore, the transition allows each area of the foot to benefit from the appropriate traction properties; no space is wasted.

While you can expect a wide range of color options, one of the upcoming releases features a Black, University Red, and White color combination.

Nike LeBron 18 Release Details

You can expect the initial release of the Nike LeBron 18 to debut at select retailers including Nike.com during September 2020. The retail price is set at $200. More colorways of the model will launch throughout 2021. The retail price will be $200. Make sure to check back with us for updates.

Update (9/18): Nike has unveiled LeBron James’ latest signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 18. The pair features knits used on the past three models, which creates what is being called the Knitposite 2.0. In addition, it features a full-length Zoom Air unit and an Air Max unit in the heel.

The first pair to release is known as ‘Reflections’ and will debut on September 18th. Following, the ‘Empire Jade’ iteration will launch in Greater China on September 21st. In addition, the ‘James Gang’ colorway will launch on October 9th while the ‘Los Angeles By Day’ drops in North America on November 6th.
