Completing the trio of releases from the Nike Basketball Elite Series for the 2012 NBA Playoffs is the LeBron 9 Elite.
Differing greatly from the Lunar Hyperdunk-inspired wear test sample and more closely related to the current LeBron 9, the updated Elite version retains the 180 Max Air heel and Zoom forefoot cushioning units while ditching the woven portion of the upper in favor of a Huarache-esque window and carbon fiber that extends from the heel all the way around to the midfoot. Also utilizing a Pro Combat-inspired inner sleeve for comfort, the kicks sport Kevlar Flywire for lightweight strength and less stretching.
The culmination of the best technologies that Nike Basketball currently has to offer, the LeBron 9 Elite will join the Kobe VII Elite and Hyperdunk Elite at the end of April and will retail for $250.
