Celebrating Ashton Eaton record he broke at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, Nike will release a limited edition sneaker known as the Nike Lunar Caldra ‘Gold’.
On August 28, 2015, decathlete Ashton Eaton broke the world record at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing. Beating his own world record from just over three years before, Eaton tallied 9045 points while wearing a new Nike cross-training shoe: the Nike Lunar Caldra. As a nod to Eaton’s victorious year, Nike is releasing a limited-edition gold version of the shoe.
The ‘Gold’ Nike Lunar Caldra will release at NikeStore.com and other select retailers on December 26th, 2015. Following the brand will release more color schemes of the Nike Lunar Caldra but this time as a general release. So far you can expect a Volt/Black and Red/Black to show up during the early part of 2016.
