The flagship of Nike’s new Lunarlon Collection is the newest Hyperdunk, the Lunar Hyperdunk 2012. Combining Flywire with basketball-specific Lunarlon technology, the shoe is engineered to provide a lightweight, supportive, durable and breathable option to the best basketball players on the planet.
Using the most advanced version of the Flywire technology, this dynamic version provides a more customized fit for the athlete and are loose when at rest and tight when in motion, thus providing additional support and stabilizing the foot. The upper also boasts a breathable mesh tongue, inner sleeve and asymmetrical collar for a comfortable fit.
For cushioning, the kicks utilize a basketball-specific Lunarlon, with additional foam in key areas, for soft and responsive cushioning that is both stable and durable. Combined with a rigid, glass-reinforced shank, solid rubber traction outsole and lateral outrigger, the kicks provide reinforcement for and support for hard cuts and quick movements alike.
The Lunar Hyperdunk 2012 is set to debut later this Summer as the flagship model of Nike Basketball’s 2012 collection.
