To introduce new skateboard amateurs Daryl Angel, Clark Hassler, Justin Brock, and Grant Taylor to the Nike SB Team, Nike released Volume 3 of their SB Custom Series in the form of 4 different SB’s and their respective matching tee’s, all designed by the skaters themselves. Available March 2009 for general release, Angel’s SB Dunk Low Premium in a black and baltic blue colorway features a premium soft leather upper and baltic blue cotton tongue with red stitching at the top. To top it off, the insole features a print of an angel and a devil which is also featured on its matching tee, called the Tradical tee, which comes in black or varsity royal.
Next up is a Nike Blazer Low Hybrid Premium in a black/black colorway, commemorating skater Clark Hassler. The black premium leather is contrasted by a gum sole, giving your feet a clean, simple look. The fat tongue, which features an orange lining, adds comfort whether you’re skating or just walking. The “Skate Rock” tee features a multiple button print on the side of the chest and comes in either white or black. Also set to drop March 2009.
The third part of the series is by Justin Brock, who customized the Nike Dunk Mid Premium SB in khaki and medium denim. The dunk mid features all kinds of materials: khaki upper, denim swoosh, and a mesh tongue to create perhaps one of the cleanest mids ever manufactured. The matching “Workwear” tee is available in white or khaki and features tools as the main print, enforcing the theme of a skating workman. The mid is set to drop in April 2009.
The last installment of the custom series is the Nike Blazer SB Elite in dark army and khaki, customized by skater Grant Taylor. This last blazer sb is definitely not the least, as it features a dark army leather upper, khaki swoosh, brown suede toebox, white sole, detailed inner lining similar to that of the Hunter Forbes dunk sb low, and to top it off, literally, there is rasta-colored Nike tag at the top of the tongue. The “Rastant” tee features a centered print of an ant holding a rasta flag, also with the same rasta tag at the bottom corner to match the shoe. The tee is available in white or dark army. This set is also launching in April 2009.
