Nike Skateboarding is cooking up something special for the Holiday 2025 season. The sub-brand of Nike will use its most popular silhouette, the SB Dunk Low, and will debut a special iteration for Christmas. Nike SB is no stranger to this, as they have dropped various Christmas iterations in the past. However, their upcoming launch will be inspired by the mythical folklore, “Krampus.”
This isn’t the first time that Nike SB dropped a sneaker inspired by Krampus. We saw the Nike Dunk High release in 2012, which was designed by Sean Cliver.
Krampus is a horned, demonic figure from Central European folklore who punishes naughty children during Christmas, unlike Saint Nicholas, who rewards the good. Popular in Austria and Germany, Krampusnacht, on December 5th, features costumed parades where people playfully scare onlookers.
This Nike SB Dunk Low features a Dark Smoke Grey, Campfire Orange, and Black color scheme. Looking closer, the shoes feature a cracked leather upper, giving the shoes a weathered look, which may flake off over time. In addition, Black covers most of the base with Orange on the edges and peering out of the perforations. Red also appears on the Nike SB tongue label, while the tongue has a woven design. Furthermore, the insoles have a unique design inspired by Krampus in Black, Red, and White. Other details include cracked detailing on the midsole and “Not Surprised” on the inside of the tongues.
