Nike Skateboarding and Paul Rodriguez will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of his first signature shoe, the Nike SB P-Rod 1, with a re-release in 2025. The shoes launched in 2005 and were Nike SB’s first signature skateboarding shoe. We would see the first retro release occur in 2015, which celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
The 2025 iteration marks the second time the shoes have been re-released, following its 10th Anniversary edition in 2015. Paying homage to the original, the upcoming version retains the classic White and Black color scheme. Constructed with a premium full-grain leather upper, it also showcases the “PR” embossed detail on the heel. It is enhanced with a Zoom Air unit for responsive cushioning and a padded tongue that evokes the early-2000s skateboarding style. The only difference between the 2025 retro and the original release is the tongue branding. The original was White, while the new pair appears to be Metallic Silver.
