In July we brought you news of a Nike Zoom Kobe 4 released in honor of Kobe’s golden efforts during the 2008 Summer Olympics. There are now shots of a new Nike Zoom Kobe 4 nicknamed the “Golden Mamba,” which is obviously a hybrid of Kobe Bryant’s nickname “Black Mamba” and the material he’s become used to seeing on the trophies he earns- gold. With a predominantly white upper, L.A. Lakers purple on the sole, golden accents that reach from the outside mid panel to the heel of the shoe, and red accents that do the same on the inside mid panel, perhaps this Zoom Kobe 4 will be No. 24’s most consistent shoe of choice this upcoming NBA season in hopes of reeling in more hardware. The inside soles obviously pay homage to both of Kobe’s Olympic and NBA championship achievements, while a flowery/reptilian pattern makes its way from just below the Nike check to the back heel.
