Virgil Abloh and Nike are collaborating once again to release a new collection of footwear and apparel for Serena Williams which celebrates the 50th U.S. Open tournament.
The collaboration began when Abloh and the NikeCourt design team met in Paris to discuss a performance dress for Williams. Nike sent a body form designed specifically for Williams’ figure to Italy to explore options with materials, then it was flown back to Indian Wells, California, where Williams could pick the features of the dress that spoke to her.
Some of the standout footwear from the collection includes the Nike Air Max 97 and the Nike Blazer Mid. In addition Serena will wear a PE version of the Nike Court Flare 2. Each pair features the signature Off-White detailing.
Currently release details for ‘The Queen’ Collection has yet to be announced, however you can expect it to launch soon. Once more information is available we will make sure to update. For now see below to check out more images.
