For their latest collaboration, Pigalle and founder Stéphane Ashpool once again looked to the 90s to celebrate Nike’s rich, hardwood history. The end result being the Pigalle x NikeLab Air Unlimited.
The Parisian collective takes on the 1994 Nike Air Unlimited, adding their touch with a modern white on white colorway that presents the model’s disruptive design in a subtle fashion fit for the runway.
The original Air Unlimited silhouette, which first graced the hardwood in 1994, updates with modern materials and construction. The synthetic leather upper features the shoe’s original cross-pull strapping system and neoprene bootie, while foam forms the outsole.
Stephane Ashpool’s love for early 90s basketball footwear is well documented, beginning with the previously released Nike Air Raid collaboration. Ashpool’s latest collaboration continues the progression through the golden era of hoop and reintroduces the NikeLab Air Unlimited x Pigalle in a classic white tonal execution.
