Fans of Nike’s Golden Era (well, what I consider the “Golden Era”…the mid ’80s to the mid ’90s), prepare to be very happy. The Swoosh squad will be releasing a 3-pair set of some classic kicks on June 28th, featuring the Nike Air Revolution, Nike Air Trainer SC High, and the Nike Air Trainer SC 2, all in OG colorways (the “Tech Grey”, “Citron”, and “Auburn” colorways, respectively). Another thing to note is the pairs will all feature the “VNTG” treatment, though to what extent is unknown.
Personally, I don’t mind the “VNTG”/”OG” treatment, although I understand why some might. Then again, I always told myself that although I don’t mind it on running shoes (I own the Air Max Light Vintage “Blue” and the Air Max 90 OG “Infrared”), I wouldn’t want to see it on a pair of Retro J’s, so this is about in the middle. I guess, like the rest of the sneaker community, I’ll just have to wait and see what the kicks look like in this upcoming release.
Hit the jump for a quick look at the pairs making up this upcoming pack, and let us know if you’ll be looking to cop any (or all) of these pairs on June 28th. And if you don’t want to wait for the wide release, hit up Overkill tomorrow, June 14th, for a chance to cop early.
