Renarts and Reebok are connecting for a new collaboration. This time they will take it back to 1986 as a tribute to Doc Gooden, Darryl Strawberry and the New York Mets Wold Series Win. The end result is the Renarts x Reebok LX 8500 ‘Dead End Kids’.
Using the Reebok LX 8500, the shoes feature Black leather across the panels, heel and tongue which represents the darkness around the team. Across the toe is Blue suede which is taken directly from the Mets. Orange and Blue 3M pipping are also used which points to the neon signs that use to hang at the Shea Stadium.
The Renarts x Reebok LX 8500 Dead End Kids will launch on October 18th at 7PM in-store. An online release will take place on October 22nd at 11AM. Retail price will be $130. In addition to the shoes, matching shirts and hoodies will be available in partnership with Mitchell & Ness.
