A few days ago we were presented with a few early shots from the Rucker Footwear Collection by Chris Rucker, grandson of legendary Holcombe Rucker. Here’s a look at a few styles coming from Rucker, a nice change of pace from Air Jordan. The collection also consists of both, colorful and subtle combinations of colors offering styles for everyone. Keep an eye out for the Rucker footwear and apparel line.

That first one reminds me of the Jordan XVI without the sheath covers on. The last two are clownin'. Right up there with the Starberry bozo kicks.
"LOL" DLX208 got it right!!
these are aight wouldnt get em,theyre 2 plain and they look like $15 starburys.
hah these make me puke and/or shit a little.
I see this on the sale rack already
to chris Rucker,
these kicks are GARBAGE period. these look like fake kobe bryant sneakers, but mabey that is the look u were going for. what is the retail price for these?
Kerry da kidd
I don't see these making a big splash in the sneaker world. I kind of hate that too because the shoe market is big enough for a lot of people to get money but I think these won't cut it.
I could be wrong. A lot of people copped And1's. I guess they felt good to hoop in. Maybe these are performance kicks. Keep 'em in the bag until you get to the courts lol!
C'mon guys for a FIRST RUN.. these aren't that bad.
HOWEVER Mr.Rucker you are going to have to step up the design and the Materials a bit…..
look like 16s and jordan 21 pe
look like nice b-ball shoes
wow. those are horrible
The people on this site are honestly so caught up in there own idea of what a sneaker is that they don't see the brilliance of a shoe like the starbury. I as well am a fashionista and a baller so i do have my jordons nikes pradas what have you but for basketball you don't want to mess some nice sneakers up i usualy go for some nikes on sale for 40 bucks maybe these are not intended for you to go to a club in although some people will do just that but rather offering affordable equiptment to those who cant shell out another 125 every time one of there nike or jordans wear and tear, and for real competitor that could be every 3 weeks.GO FIGGURE…
Like I said before…..We don't know how they feel on our feet. Maybe it's made with the street-baller in mind. If so…. fine.
But that doesn't take away from the fact that the materials look cheap and the design isn't attractive at all.
These better be comfortable and good for ball! The design and colors just arent right. I would definetly revise them b4 release. They just don't have a sleek, clean, fresh, etc. look. MR. Rucker please mak ethese look pretty!
kudos to chris rucker & co. a lot of room for improvements though
looks like a d.wade-clone and ugly
the black ones look ok.. not bad for black top shoes, you just beat em to its death anyways.. the rest though are crap.
They look boo koo messy…
what the heck? these shoes are a mockary ro this website.lets see the hypebeasts hype these
the design that look lik jordans are okay
but the rest are ugly
wit that sed i agree wit freddy its a good thing that ppl are tryin 2 release so kicks dat dnt cost an arm nd a leg 2 play ball in shit i no i dnt wanna spend 125 on som kicks dats gonna mess up in 3 weeks
They remind me of 2K5's and i thought those were horrible looking
Fellas,
Thanks for the feedback as always. Some materials are nubuck leather, microperfed leather, natural leather, and patent leather. Keep in mind, these are only a few colorways of each model and the other colors have a mixture of materials previously mentioned. I also carried some samples to an interview last Wednesday night in Manhattan and got a pretty good response from people on the street among others. I wasn't impressed with the pictures at first, but seeing them live made me a believer. Anyway, the shoes will retail for more than Starbury's but less than Kobe Bryant's shoes. In fact, they will retail for less than one hundred dollars. Check out the video on http://www.rockmetv.com and search "Rucker". Also, my designer reads the feedback and takes every criticism good or bad into account. I appreciate the responses and keep it coming.
Thanks,
Chris Rucker
Mr. Rucker
When is the Rucker clothing line coming out? I thought the clothing line was already out but that might have been some other clothes that I might have seen.
the idea is good, if you look close, they took design hues from da jordan 16 and the new hyperdunk, somehow the mix went wrong in the making of the, but wat eva big ups to rucker for puttin emselves out there……1
I dnt knnow about these…they are very iffy…prolly only the people in New York and the people who know the history of Rucker would get them….everybody else would pass….it mite be a good outside shoe..but i most def gotta see em in person
i.favors, the clothing line has been out for six years and thanks for asking. I am actually producing apparel to complement the footwear. I don't really look at these as just New York sneakers, but basketball shoes for enthusiasts or casual gamers everywhere. Rucker is not just New York history, but a basketball legacy.
no offense, rucker, your styles aren't for me…these look like a mix of dwayne wades, starburys and the newer jordans, and i like more old-school looking kicks. but with steve and barry's possibly going out of business, you can make a killing with these if you price 'em low enough to replace starbury. shit, i'd even buy a pair or two to keep in my gym locker if you sell for any price south of 30 or 40 bucks.
Eh yo– I go to the university of oregon, and the football team got theose black ones up top as turf shoes testers they were a little modified but looked cool for turf shoes…ya dig
Where can I get your apparel at?
What city are you in i.favors? Interesting comparison M.Ellis, and I understand Dave.
I live in Jonesboro, GA. Do you have a site for your clothing where I can buy it online?
You can buy the apparel at http://www.stallanddean.com i.favors. I'm trying to put up http://www.therucker.com soon though. Thanks.
