The Saucony Grid SD ‘Ether’ is the second release from the brands Modern Range for SS17. In addition, it connects with the Saucony’s roots in Boston.
This Saucony Grid SD is inspired by the gold dome of the operating amphitheatre in the Bulfinch Building in Massachusetts General Hospital. It once served as the hospital’s operating room from its opening in 1821 until 1867. It was the site of the first public demonstration of the use of inhaled ether as a surgical aesthetic on October 16, 1846, otherwise known as Ether Day.
As you can see, this Saucony Gird SD comes in a flashy Rose Gold across the uppers which has a shiny finish. In addition we have rope laces, hits of perforations and Off-White through the midsole and outsole.
The Saucony Grid SD Ether is set to release at select retailers like Hanon and Afew on February 11th, 2017. Below you can check out a detailed look as well as images showcasing how they look on feet.
