Back in early December we originally reported the collaboration sneaker between Singapore’s famous sneaker customizer SBTG and New Balance would be released world wide on January 16th. Well it looks like the official release date has been changed to Saturday, January 18th.
The SBTG x mita sneakers x New Balance MRT580SM sneaker is part of the on going relationship between New Balance and Tokyo based mita sneakers. This time, mita brought in a third designer, Mark Ong aka SBTG, to help collaborate in their latest venture. Using the New Balance 580 sneaker as the base, the end result uses military imagery (a common theme used in SBTG’s work). Styled with different shades of Green in tiger camo print, the sneaker is finished off with 3M elements on the nubuck, mesh, leather, and a patent build. The sneaker is completed with an insole that features mita’s signature chain link fence graphic against a SBTG design.
You don’t want to sleep on this release because the SBTG x mita sneakers x New Balance MRT580SM sneaker will be limited in quantity and sold exclusively at stores like Crooked Tongue. Don’t forget to let us know what you think of this latest collab sneaker.
