The Nike Air Max 95 was first launched in 1995 and was designed by Sergio Lozano. Inspiration for the model came from the scenery outside of Lozano’s window in the Michael Jordan building on Nike’s campus.
He was also inspired by human anatomy, which can be seen on the layered panels, resembling muscle fibers and flesh that connect to a spine—featuring the Nike swoosh in two locations, one at the heel of the 95 and the other on the back. The Air Max 95 comes with Air Max cushioning in both the heel and forefoot, allowing for superior comfort.
One of the most iconic color options of the “Neon,” aka “Volt,” however, we have seen multiple colorways and collaborations released throughout the years. Furthermore, many materials were used, and hybrids were made available. One of the model’s highlights is the 3M reflective detailing.
