SNIPES and adidas Originals will connect to pay homage to Detroit. Known as the adidas Forum Low ‘Detroit’, the shoes are exclusive to SNIPES and will debut on 313 Day.
This adidas Forum Low comes dressed in White, Navy, and Maize, which has a Michigan color theme. Highlighted with a White tear-away upper that unveils the Detroit skyline. Next, ’313’ is embroidered on the lateral heel and the lace dubraes. ‘Raised From Concrete’ lands on the insoles, and a hidden message lands under the cross-strap that reads ‘I Am Detroit.’ Finishing the look is a White midsole and a Navy rubber outsole.
To celebrate the release of this sneaker, SNIPES is hosting a full-day dance competition, including a 2v2 Jit & Breakin’ Competition, with $2,000 in prize money on the line. Additionally, the event will include a Detroit Jit vs Chicago Footwork Exhibition Battle, featuring a reunion of these two homegrown dance styles of the Midwest after 15 years of separation.
