Following our look at the Air Max Penny 1 collaboration, Social Status will also release two color options of the Air Penny 2.
The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 collaboration will be available in two colorways. One pair features Black on the upper and University Blue accents, having a similar color blocking as the OG. The other pair comes dressed in Bone and University Blue. Each features special Penny 2 pendants, 3M reflective accents and comes with extra laces. One of the highlights of the pair is the box which has a translucent lid, similar to the packaging a figure/doll would come in. This is also a nod to Lil Penny, which starred in many commercials in the 90s and was voiced by Chris Rock.
Social Status Nike Air Penny 2 Release Details
You can expect the Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 color options to start releasing on October 13th via Social Status and on October 19th via SNKRS. The retail price is $200 each. Update (10/21): Social Status has announced that it’s Air Penny 2 collaboration in ‘Cobalt Pulse’ will release on November 4th at Socialstatuspgh.com for $200. The in-store raffle is now open, October 21st, and will run until November 1st.
Update (10/14): Nike has announced that the Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Black’ will release on October 19th via SNKRS.
Update (10/12): Social Status will release the ‘Playground’ Air Penny 2 tomorrow, October 13th, at 11 AM EST on socialstatuspgh.com.
Update (9/19): Social Status has announced that they will release the Black and White colorway of the Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Playground’ on September 20th via in-store raffles at every Whitaker Group store location. Also, there will a general online raffle, and Discord member-only draw. A release will take place on September 30th via socialstatuspgh.com. Currently, release details for the White and Blue pair have yet to be announced.
