The Supra Skytop took the world by storm. Impressively high cut, especially for a modern skate shoe, along with choice materials added up to one of the biggest hits. By the time the Skytop II came around the hype had died down a bit which only added to the dreaded one hit wonder scenario felt by many new brands.
However, thanks to Sneaker Freaker we have our first look at the Skytop III.
This time around Supra took things down a notch by going with a mid cut and a completely redesigned midsole/outsole. Not only has a new design been implemented, the addition of a better structured midfoot, in the form of a rubberized midfoot wrap, will add much needed protection and stability while skating.
Once again Supra chooses to go with great materials keeping it traditional with suede and adding in some canvas versions as well.
Personally, these look like the best overall out of the three thus far. What are your first thoughts?
