Asics employee Mutaurwa Mapondera embarked on a trip to Kobe, Japan to meet the Onitsuka Tiger Legends and find out what made the brand what it is today.
Onitsuka Tiger, a subsidiary of Asics, is one of the oldest shoe companies in Japan with roots dating back to 1949. With production out of the historic city of Kobe, a place where all Japanese shoe molds were once produced, the city has played a significant role in its history of shoe making and the culture of its people.
